Registration of film producers

Process description

1. Submission of an application and payment of the State fee
   A film producer, using an e-address, shall send an application with completed forms to the National Film Centre, before paying the State fee in accordance with 29.06.2010 For the purposes of the BOM Regulation No 585 on the State fee for the registration of film producers to the Treasury account:

2. Decision making
   A decision regarding registration, suspension of registration or refusal to register a film producer shall be taken by the responsible official of the National Film Centre within a period of 15 days after receipt of the submission. Before taking a decision regarding the registration of a film producer, the responsible official of the National Film Centre shall ascertain whether the payment of the State fee has been received in the State budget.

3. If the decision is positive
   If a decision regarding registration of a film producer has been taken, the responsible official shall assign the registration number to the film producer, make an entry in the register, issue the registration certificate of the film producer. The decision regarding registration of a film producer shall specify the annual time limit by which the film producer must submit to the National Film Centre information regarding films produced independently by the film producer and the film distribution figures. The register shall record the particulars indicated in the application of the film producer, as well as the date of registration and the last date of the renewal of the information.

4. If the decision is postponed
   The decision regarding the postponement of registration of a film producer shall indicate the deficiencies identified and shall set a period of 15 days for the correction of deficiencies.

5. If the decision is negative
   A decision regarding refusal to register the film producer shall be taken by the responsible official of the National Film Centre in cases where the deficiencies referred to therein have not been rectified within the time period specified in the decision regarding the deferral of registration of the film producer or if the applicant does not comply with the requirements specified in the procedures for registration of film producers.
