From 25 March submissions are open to the four RIGA IFF 2025 competitions, seeking features, shorts, and music videos that echo the festival’s vision of expressive and innovative cinema. For over a decade, the Riga International Film Festival has solidified itself as a standout happening and a unique voice in the Baltic Sea region. With every edition, we strive to unite filmmakers and audiences in a celebration of bold and daring cinematic experiences. The festival’s 12th edition will take place on 16–26 October in Riga, Latvia.
All four competitions will be evaluated and judged by selection committees and juries made up of regionally and internationally acclaimed film professionals. There are no genre, form or style restrictions, but the selection and jury process special attention will be dedicated to bold audiovisual experiences that showcase distinct artistic signatures and current events in the contemporary cinematic landscape.

For international shorts, the submission window is open until May 31, while submissions for all other competitions will be accepted until June 30. Submissions are free of charge only until April 1.
