As part of the 50th edition of Visions Du Reel (April 5 – 13, 2019), the artistic director Emilie Bujès asked the previous directors to select two films, which they consider having made the history of cinema and the history of the festival. 8 films were selected for an anniversary programme – including THE LAST JUDGEMENT by the iconic Latvian filmmaker Herz Frank!

This documentary was screened at Visions Du Reel already in 1987. It was also selected by Berlinale, IDFA and other festivals at time.
