Cesar Awards

"Flow" by Gints Zilbalodis has been nominated for the French National Cinematography Award "César" in the category for "Best Animated Feature".

It is the first time ever nomination for a Latvian film at the awards. Alongside this category, two French filmmakers will compete for the prize - Michel Hazanavicius' animation The Most Precious of Cargoes and Claude Barras' animation Savages, which was also previously nominated for the European Film Academy Award, but lost out to Latvia's "Flow" at the ceremony.

The 50th César Award ceremony will take place on 28 February at the Olympia concert hall in Paris.
