In order to attract foreign financing to Latvian film industry, as well as to promote competitiveness and professional growth of the industry, National Film Centre has announced the call for applications on State budget co-financing for foreign film productions in Latvia in 2016 with available co-financing in amount of 646, 010 EUR.
The purpose of the call for applications is to support foreign film productions in Latvia; this purpose is planned to be implemented within a period until 15 November, 2016 (the final term for receipt of the co-financing).
Foreign film for the purpose of this call for applications is a project that is being implemented within the territory of Latvia and that is carried out as co-production or service by Latvian film producer. In case of co-production the investment of Latvian film producer into the projects within this call for applications may not exceed 20% of the total budget of the film.
Projects must be submitted in person or by mail at NFC, in Riga, Peitavas iela 10, term of the call for applications is open, starting from 4 January, 2016 until 30 September, 2016, 12:00.
